Event Technician

Experienced freelance event technician with over 12 years in the industry, specialising in lighting design, programming, and operation. Proven track record of delivering high-quality productions for diverse clients globally. Skilled in team management, rigging, and technical production management. Passionate about pushing creative boundaries and delivering exceptional results.

The majority of my work and focus is now on working within lighting departments as a designer, programmer, operator and technician. I specialise in designing small to medium shows within WYSIWYG or Capture. I operate and program my shows primarily with grandMA3 control systems but am also fully competent in programing and operating both Avolites and Chamsys. I have been HOD for teams of various sizes on many projects to provide a full lighting solution from design to show.

I have now also expanded my skills into work as an LED, visual, laser and SFX technician/programmer/operator which often helps compliment my work as a lighting designer and create multi element shows.

Despite my main focus now within these areas I also occasionally still work in other roles to compliment my portfolio and aid in my understanding for technical production management roles. As I first started out as a live sound engineer and along the way gained various other skills in graphics, vision mixing, vMix, and other general corporate AV this has helped me become an all rounder technician and kept me up to date with equipment and best practices across the industry
